Biologist Nutritionist
and
Private Chef

Ciao, sono Barbara Federici Biologa, Nutrizionista e Private Chef.
Sono nato in Abruzzo, nel centro Italia, una terra circondata dal blu del mare Adriatico e dalle bianche cime degli Appennini.
Mi sono trasferita a Roma per studiare all’Università e se ripenso a quel periodo ricordo chiaramente che la mia scrivania era una montagna russa di libri scientifici e riviste di cucina.
Ero davvero curiosa di capire come le proteine, i carboidrati, le vitamine, i grassi che mangiamo quotidianamente potessero interagire con il corpo umano e migliorare la nostra salute e il nostro benessere.
Allo stesso tempo ero entusiasta di unire gli ingredienti in una padella e vedere la loro reazione chimica e fisica nel diventare il mio pranzo o la mia cena.
Credetemi se vi dico che la mia cucina era un mix tra laboratorio scientifico e alimentare!
Dopo la laurea ho iniziato a lavorare in un ristorante stellato nelle Marche e poi in un’osteria tradizionale. È lì che ho sviluppato la mia attitudine a lavorare in modo rapido, efficiente e capace di risolvere i problemi.
Pochi anni dopo ho sentito che qualcosa nel mio cuore stava cambiando e sapevo che volevo cucinare per le persone in un modo più su misura, così ho iniziato a lavorare come Private Chef . Oggi mi diverto a creare menù su misura, corsi di cucina ed esperienze culinarie secondo i gusti e le necessità dei miei ospiti.
Quando cucino penso sempre alla “food-inclusivity”.
Amo lo stile mediterraneo così come la cucina a base vegetale, utilizzo ingredienti freschi, locali e di stagione. Mi piace creare nuovi piatti contemporanei rivisitando le ricette della tradizione italiana. Come nutrizionista posso accogliere restrizioni alimentari dietetiche, allergie, intolleranze.
Vivo al centro Italia ma sono disponibile a viaggiare.
Il cibo è una parte molto importante delle nostre giornate e della nostra salute, credo che piatti gustosi e salutari possano rendere la nostra vita davvero meravigliosa!

Hi, I am Barbara Federici Biologist, Nutritionist and Private Chef. I was born in Abruzzo region in the center of Italy, a land sorrounded by the blu of the Adriatic sea and the white tops of the Appennini Mountains.
I moved to Rome to study at University and if I look back at that period I can clearly remember that my desk was a rollercoaster of scientific books and cooking magazines. I was so curious to understand how the proteins, carbs, vitamins, fats that we daily eat could interact with a human body and improve our health and wellbeing. At the same time I was excited to combine ingredients in a pan and see their chemical and phisical reaction in becoming my lunch or dinner . Believe me if I tell you that my kitchen was a mix of a science and food lab!
After my degrees I started working in a Michelin star restaurant in Le Marche and then in a traditional Osteria. That’s where I developped my attidute to work in a quick, efficient and problem solving way.
Few years later I felt that something inside my heart was changing and I knew that I wanted to cook for people in a more tailor made way so I started working as a Private Chef.
Today I enjoy creating bespoke menus, cooking classes and dining experience according to my guests’ tastes and necessities.
When I cook I always think about “food-inclusivity”.
I love the mediterranean style as well as the plant based cuisine, I use fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. I enjoy creating new contemporary dishes revisiting Italian traditional recipes.
As a nutritionist I can accomodate dietary food restriction, allergies, intolerances.
I am based in the center of Italy but I am available to travel.
Food is a very important part of our days and of our health, I believe that tasty and healthy dishes can make our life really gorgeous!
